Hi, I just discovered this site looking for more info' on GT/CS models. I now want to build a replica/tribute HCS being rarer. Can anyone help me please whether the '68 models were also available as a convertible or fastback?

Hello, I am owner to a 1968 HCS. It was made in the first part of June of 68. The last known information about my Mustang, it was the the 1st 1968 HCS made. If any person has a 68 HCS made sooner than Jun 6th, I would like to know. Thank you.

My dad bought me a 66 high country special back in 2006. Upon further investigation I found out it was originally aspen gold but someone painted it red. Everything appears to be original but I would like to find someone who can find new badges.

My wife has a 1966 HCS it was her Grandmother's car. We have all the original paper work and the car is our treasure. It was taken off the road and stored in 1978. It is completely original and is in fantastic condition, OD = 78,600 miles.

Thank you for putting together this website to tell other how special these car are.

Hi Bob,
I don't know if you remember me or not but I just finished another deployment in the sand box. I still have my 68. Was wondering if you had an idea what a HCS would go for or being a rare vehicle. I also want to know if any vehicles have a newer built date than mine. I am at work right now but can get it to you later if you will write back. Talk to you later.

My Dad bought my Mom a High Country special mustang in 1968. It came from Sill-Terhar Ford in Broomfield. It was red with the whit stripe down the side. It was a coupe. There were 4 teenage drivers in the family and we lived in Allenspark Colorado. We took turns driving the car to Estes Park on the weekends. Sometimes we were able to drive to school. What a cool car! It had a 289 with three speed on the floor. The dogdish hubcapes were the rounded ones different than the car on the first page here, otherwise identical. I wander what ever happened to that car. It was trade in Denver for a mercury wagon in 71. NZ2j6
